It is possible to run ServDoc as non-root-User.

There are two common problems:

1. There are some commands which aren't in the search-path for
non-root-users. (eg: /sbin is not often part of the PATH variable for
normal users). But these commands are executable for non-root (eg
ifconfig!).

Therefor: If you want to run ServDoc as non root, extend your PATH
variable for the same directories as root, that is (depends on your
unix):
"/sbin:/usr/sbin/:/etc"

2. There are some commands or some files only root can execute/read.
Sorry, we can't make something about that (and we don't advise to do
so!).
